The Eternal Search

I have searched in the green mountains,

And in the vast green plains;

I searched in temples and mosques,

And in churches and synagogues;

But nowhere could I find,

Someone to calm my agitated and restless mind;

So, I returned home dejected,

And turned my path inward instead;

Then I saw you sitting inside me,

Calling for my attention but I didn’t see

But now as I sit with my eyes open,

I can see you in every lane.

I can see you in birds and canine,

You are everywhere O! Divine……
